5th arrondissement of Lyon

The 5th arrondissement is an arrondissement ( district) of the French city of Lyon. 2008, there were 46 754 people.

The district is in the northwest of the metropolitan area of Lyon. It is bounded on the east by the Saone. To the north it borders on the 9th arrondissement, in the north- east to the 1st arrondissement, in the southeast to the 2nd arrondissement, on the south by Sainte -Foy- lès- Lyon, on the southwest by Ville Franche and to the west by Tassin -la -Demi -Lune.
