( 6068 ) Brandenburg is one of the main asteroid belt, which by the German astronomer frankness Börngen and Lutz D. Schmadel at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg (IAU code 033) was discovered in Tautenburg in Thuringia Forest on 10 October 1990.

It was named by frankness Börngen after the German state of Brandenburg, which completely surrounds the German capital, Berlin.
