( 6239 ) is a near-Earth asteroid Minos of Apollo - type by the American astronomers Carolyn and Eugene Shoemaker Jean Spellman Shoemaker at Palomar Observatory (IAU code 675) was discovered on 31 August 1989. He crosses the orbits of Mars, Earth and Venus. On 10 August 2010 he passed the Earth-Moon system at a distance of 0.0985 AU.
