6SN7

The 6SN7 is a widely used electron tube (dual triode) with an Octal socket, in which, for reasons of economy of space, the Triodensysteme two 6J5 triodes were housed in a single tube.

She appeared in 1939 as a steel tube on the U.S. tube market, but could not until 1941 prevail as 6SN7GT with a glass enclosure. Along with her many later versions they played in these years in the electronics industry, a similarly important role as their successors, the famous miniature double triodes with Novalsockel ECC81, ECC82 and ECC83.

The Russian / Soviet equivalent of the 6SN7 is 6H8C (Latin 6N8S ), functionally analogous to the 6Н1П (Latin 6N1P ).
