7 Sinners is the thirteenth real studio album of the band Helloween. It was published around Halloween 2010 by Sony Music.

Music style

As previously announced, the album than its predecessor fell out harder, which continues all the typical Helloween Trademarks are available. Stylistically, it moves between power metal and speed metal.

Importance

Compared to the previous albums, the album was announced in advance as very hard and fast. Prior to the album release was the single from the album Are You Metal in Asia? published. For this purpose, a video is rotated, which plays with various metal clichés and was released on 11 October 2010 by the band.

The album was a huge success for the band, chart positions are further set forth below on the page. The acceptance among fans and critics was almost entirely positive. The trade magazine Metal Hammer gave the highest rating of 7 out of 7 points, the reputed online portal metal.de 9 of 10

Following the album a world tour will take place, with the well-known Finnish power metal band Stratovarius and Pink Cream 69 from Germany, the former band of singer Andi Deris as support.

For the first time since the published 2000 album The Dark Ride each piece is an original composition, which means that for each piece of text and music are from the same band member and there are no works of several members. Except for drummer Dani Löble all band members are involved in the songwriting on this album.

Commercial success

The album was a huge commercial success for the band. It reached the charts in many European countries and cut it significantly better than the previous album. In Japan, too, has always been one of the countries where Helloween is successful, you could record a Top 20 entry. In Germany meant 25th place, the best chart position for 12 years (1998 No. 19 for Better Than Raw ). In the Czech Republic the album even reached "Gold" status.
