702 (group)

The group 702 (Seven -Oh -Two ) is an American R & B and hip- hop trio that has been named after the area code of their hometown of Las Vegas. It consists of the three African- American women Kameelah Williams, Irish Grinstead and LeMisha Grinstead. With over 5 million sold albums and singles they already have a platinum award.

History

702 was discovered by Michael Bivins, who was responsible for the release of her debut on the hit single This Lil 'Game We Play. On the album No Doubt of 1997, Missy Elliott worked with, which of them wrote four songs and co-produced. The success Shit Steelo was used as the theme song of the television show Cousin Skeeter. The single Where My Girls At, which is also included on the album 702, reached in 1999 in the U.S. charts ranked 4th the "Lady of Soul " award they received for No Doubt as the best R & B, Soul or Rap Album of the year by a group band.
