( 715) Transvaalia is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on April 22, 1911 in Johannesburg by South African astronomer Harry Edwin Wood.

The name of the asteroid is derived from the South African province of Transvaal.

This asteroid was rediscovered in 1920 GZ as an object, but not correctly identified. Therefore, he was for several years in addition to the name ( 933 ) Susi. When the error was noticed, we retained the original name. The term ( 933 ) Susi was transferred to the 1927 CH object.
