74P/Smirnova–Chernykh

74P/Smirnova-Chernykh is a periodic comet in our solar system. He was discovered in late March 1975 by Tamara Mikhailovna Smirnova and Nikolai Stepanovich Chernykh at the Crimean Observatory. On images of his discovery of the comet had an apparent magnitude of about 15 in the year of discovery, the comet was on 6 August 1975 perihelion.

The comet was photographed in 1967, but has been identified as an asteroid and assigned the designation 1967 EU.

The comet is estimated at about 4:46 km in diameter, and currently has an orbit entirely within the orbit of Jupiter.
