- OCTOBER 28: Charlemagne adopt the Capitulare saxonicum. The law dissolves the force since 782 Capitulatio de partibus Saxoniae after criticism from the church down, replaced the death penalty with fines and represents the subjugated Saxons the other peoples of the Frankish Empire the same. The mitigation of Charles's occupation regime is a sign of the increasing consolidation of its rule in Saxony.
