7P/Pons–Winnecke

The comet was discovered 7P/Pons-Winnecke on June 12, 1819 by Jean -Louis Pons at the Observatory of Marseilles. The acting in Bonn astronomer Friedrich August Theodor Winnecke discovered him on March 9, 1858 again. The part belonging to Jupiter family comet has an orbital period of approximately 6.4 years and went through perihelion the last time on 26 September 2008.
