7th World Scout Jamboree

The 7th World Scout Jamboree (World Scout Jamboree ) was held until August 12, 1951 in Bad Ischl (Upper Austria ) on 3 August. Participants were 12,884 Scouts from 61 nations. After 1951, no further World Jamboree was held in Austria. The camp motto Jamboree of Simplicity ( " Jamboree of Simplicity ").

Implementation

The camp was divided into seven sub- camp for the participants, who were named after the Austrian provinces. Two other sub-camps took to the delegation lines and guests. 521 service called Rover support the implementation of the camp.

Central program were the Lagereröffenung and the inventory closing, a bridge building competition the participant groups and two common campfire evenings for participants and visitors of the camp.

Symbols

Stock symbol was a Jew's harp, which includes a scout lily; on the bearing 10,000 Jew's harps were sold. The camp song "Brothers and listen to the melody of " Alexei Stachowitsch was sealed and set to music.

From the Austrian Post issued a special stamp was issued with a circulation of 1,000,000 copies.

Financing

Six million Austrian Schilling was the budget for the Jamboree. Of these, 500,000 shillings were granted a subsidy by the Austrian Federal Government and 150,000 shillings from the province of Upper Austria. The camp fee per participant was 338 shillings.

Reunions

1991 and 2001 ( b.open under the Federal camp ) held a reunion of the 7th World Jamboree in Bad Ischl. It was placed next to the memorial stone for the Jamboree additional stones.
