- Pentecost: King meeting of Charles the Bald, Lothair and Louis the German in Koblenz for resolving internal family disputes that result was the Treaty of Koblenz
- June 18: The resident in Kiev Varangian Askold and Dir undertake a campaign against Constantinople Opel, when Emperor Michael III. is on a campaign against the Arabs. The Siege of Constantinople Opel has to be canceled after the fleet of the attacker is destroyed in a storm on August 4.
- First mention of Westerbeverstedt (now Lunestedt ) Misselwarden, Rechtenfleth, Weyhe and Eitze in a report on the miracle cures at the tomb of the Holy Willehad.
