( 9485 ) Uluru is an asteroid of the main belt, the 24 September 1960 by the Dutch astronomer Cornelis Johannes van Houten, Ingrid van Houten - Groeneveld and Tom Gehrels at Palomar Observatory ( observatory code 675) was discovered in California.
The asteroid is named after the Uluru, a spiritual because of its relevance to the dreamtime stories sacred to the Aborigines mountain, which is under his English name Ayers Rock, a landmark of Australia.
