A Band Apart

A Band Apart is an American film production company that is run by director Quentin Tarantino and producer Lawrence Bender. Subsidiaries are the production company A Band Apart Commercials, founded in 1995, and the record label A Band Apart Records, founded in 1997.

The name goes back to the movie title Bande à part by French director Jean -Luc Godard, which may be translated as the "outsider gang".

Foundation

The cooperation between the two filmmakers began in 1992 with the movie Reservoir Dogs. From a scene of this film, the logo of the company, which is four gangsters on the way to an attack comes.
