A Briefer History of Time (Hawking and Mlodinow book)

A Briefer History of Time ( Original Title: A Briefer History of Time ) is published in 2005, successor to the written by the physicist and mathematician Stephen Hawking book A Brief History of Time, which revised by Hawking and the Californian physicist Leonard Mlodinow together and with numerous new illustrations were provided. Similar to the previous approaches are modern cosmology as well as the two major developments in physics in the 20th century, namely, presented the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics in a short form, without showing undue simplifications. In addition, a view of a unified theory of physics is offered, which is intended to eliminate the contradictions between the two subregions.

The book is aimed at a lay audience and explains the physical relationships in a partially humorous way, although quite short, but always clear and thus provides a first insight into contemporary physics.
