A Collection of Great Dance Songs is a compilation album by the band Pink Floyd, released on 23 November 1981 by Harvest Records / EMI in the UK and Columbia Records in the United States.

The album contains alternate mixes of compositions Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Another Brick in the Wall ( Part 2) (This version combines the intro of the single mix with the album version, which at the end at the point " if you do not will eat your meat " hidden). The piece of money has been added, as Capitol Records refused to Columbia Records to approve publishing the existing version in the USA. David Gilmour took the piece without the rest of the band, sang and played nearly all the instruments himself, he produced the title along with James Guthrie. Dick Parry played saxophone on Money. There are some differences between the original recording and the new recording of the piece. The saxophone and guitar solos are played differently, and especially the drumming style is clearly influenced differently.

The photo for the album cover was taken up in the English peninsula Dungeness in Kent by photographer Storm Thorgerson, whose company Hipgnosis (in this album under the pseudonym " TCP" ) also took over the graphic cover design. Other contributors were Peter Christopherson and Aubrey Powell. The layout, the graphic design and the fonts were designed by Neville Brody.
