A Good Heart is a song that was originally written by the American singer Maria McKee.

Background

Wrote the text which was then 19 - year-old Maria McKee produced, the title of David A. Stewart, the musical head of the Eurythmics. The song deals with McKees failed relationship with musician Benmont Tench, a founding member and keyboardist for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, which occurred at this time with McKees band Lone Justice.

Only in 2007 there appeared a eingesungene McKee version of her own song on the album Late December.

Known worldwide was given the title by the interpretation of Feargal Sharkey. His version was the end of 1985 for two weeks at No. 1 on the British charts in early 1986 and took the top spot also in Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands.
