A hat full of stars (English title: A Hat Full of Sky) is a fantasy novel by Terry Pratchett. It is the thirty-second Discworld novel. A hat full of stars was published in 2004 and won the 2005 Locus Award. The scene is Lancre. A hat full of stars is one of the witch stories with Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg only play supporting roles. The brunt of the story rests on the now eleven year old Tiffany Aching, who must realize painfully that fairly unsympathetic character traits are hidden in their principle, friendly nature.
A hat full of stars, is the third Discworld children's book. Here are two more novels that are grown Tiffany woe and accompany her witches training: The Wintersmith and The Midnight dress. A hat full of stars is a coming of age novel that shows how the protagonist, grows on the verge of puberty, to the complex reality as a person.

A hat full of stars is the sequel to Little Free men and tells the story of the first academic year of Tiffany Aching, the witch of the Chalk. It has now become eleven years old and it is time that it takes up the promised apprenticeship at the witches in the spike-horn mountains. She says goodbye to her family, the We -are- the - greatest! and the deceased Granny Aching and promises to come back as soon as possible. Miss Tick, the Hexensucherin, she brings then after two shirts, a town with a stagecoach line. But, instead of rising into the coach, Tiffany will change to the one of its future trainer Miss Level steered, witches broom. She learns very quickly that she hates to fly.
Tiffany is too inexperienced and Miss Tick too self-absorbed to notice that they were exposed to two shirts a serious threat to their intellectual integrity. The slumbering in the young witch gifts have attracted an ancient, dangerous entity that disembodied and immortal, the universe roams, always in search of new host bodies; - A dreamer. The we- are - the - greatest! but that Tiffany never lose sight of, have the attack very closely. Although this attack failed and their Great Little Witch is now far gone, makes Rob Anybody, the Big Man of the clan, really worried. No living creature has ever survived the occupation by a fanatic and a dreamer, who had once fixed on a victim, never let more from him.
In the mountains Tiffany begins her witches training with Miss Level, which is actually two women; - A soul with two bodies, so to speak, which is sometimes quite handy. She learns that witchcraft consisted mainly of very tedious and dirty work. Witches learn as to know what they are doing. In her rare spare time, Tiffany meets with other witches trainees. Clearly this is small circles under the tutelage of Annagramma, the snooty student still hochnäsigeren woman catchy. Annagramma can not and will not Tiffany take seriously. It is just the rookie, wearing green clothes instead of black, and when she claimed to have of Mistress Weatherwax get an invisible witch hat, she is thoroughly ridiculed.

The enthusiast transforms him instantly into a miserable croaking frog, whereupon Zakzak compared to all " proposals " Tiffany is extremely open-minded.

She meets a very timid creatures, which they once missed a name: Arthur. Now they met Arthur's dearest wish and then the dreamer actually disappears for ever and ever. Then bring Granny Weatherwax Tiffany back of the place to which it has brought the dreamer. Together they then drink a cup of tea and enjoy the season's competition, the wins Petulia with her " pig trick".
