A Kind of Magic is the book published in 1986, twelfth studio album by British rock band Queen. Many songs on the album can be heard in other versions of the film Highlander. The title refers to a scene in which the shot down Connor McLeod resurrected and is from a child who watched the scene, asked how that was possible. He replies: "It's a kind of magic. "

The highest popularity and most cover versions, however, did not reach the title song, but Who Wants to Live Forever.

The album was produced by Queen and Mack (tracks 1, 3, 4, 5, 9, 11 ) or by Queen and David Richards (tracks 2, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12). The engineers were each Mack and David Richards and Croydon.
