The film was premiered on October 6, 1933 in the U.S.. Lead actor Ken Murray has already garnered early 20th century experience as an entertainer in vaudeville entertainment theaters and later worked as a director, producer and screenwriter. His partner Dorothy Lee also had experience as an actress and singer in vaudeville and played 1929-1941 in little more than thirty films.


At the Academy Awards in 1934, the film for the Academy Award for Best Short Film ( Comedy ) was nominated, but lost the also produced by Louis Brock comedy short film So This Is Harris! .
