A Summer in La Goulette is a Tunisian- French- Belgian film from the year 1996. The government took over Férid Boughedir. The comedy about three teenagers and their fathers was begun in 1996 in competition at the International Film Festival in Berlin.

Action

In the summer of 1967 to experience three young girls in La Goulette, a seaside resort near Tunis, the first love. Meriem is Tunisian and Muslim, Gigi is of Italian origin and Christin, Tina comes from a Tunisian Jewish family. The fathers of three girls Youssef, Jojo and Giuseppe, also have a long term friendship. The girls who do not want marriage arranged by parents who take an oath to each other, to lose their virginity before the end of the summer. When the fathers learn that their daughters get involved with young men from other faiths, the friendship of three men is put to a severe test.
