Criticism

  • Lexicon of international film: The first part of Eric Rohmer's cinematic cycle "Four Seasons" describes in an elegant staging and with a light hand the often difficult coexistence of humans. Due to the discrepancy between thought and action, the audience is kept at an ironic distance that allows him to follow the plot as well as amused fascination.
  • Catholic film work: How flower arrangements arranges the moralist 70 years of French cinema, the people constellations always new and so explores the possibility or impossibility of relationships. The focus of both elegant and weightless staged Spring tale of polished dialogue stands out as the most civilized form of expression of human interaction because it allows conclusions on the nature and state of mind of the protagonist. [ ... ] Here forbearance and ironic distance determine the staging, the audience is entertained persecuted, even if there were any references to weaknesses of one's character.
