Tesna koža ( Serbo-Croat: The close skin ) is the first of four parts of the film series Tesna koža, which are among the most-watched films of the former Yugoslavia. The 1982 film was produced and directed by Mica Milosevic.

Action

At the age of 56 years Mita Pantić is still office assistant in his company. Pantićs wife Persis is a grumpy middle aged housewife while his son Branko studied astronomy as a student every year in front of him. The second child is Mira, who tried in vain despite law degree for years to get a job. The 16 -year-old Aca, however, has problems at school and wants a motorcycle. All three children criticize the dire financial situation of the family and make them responsible for their particular situation. The budget also Pantićs live eccentric mother and roommate Suzana.

The daily routine begins Pantić on this day at 6 clock in the morning. At home, he makes his way through the crowded bathroom. At work, his boss Srecko SOIC crashes with an invitation to his office, new type up a stack of papers because they were not enough to read. Pantić goes to the writing department of the company where the typist Melita Sandić spends more time to chat and flirt on the phone than to work.

Japanac and Pantić finally meet in Japanacs apartment where Japanac but more interested in Pantićs household helper Suzana shows than for Pantićs son. Pantić solves his betting slip and gets the jackpot of seven million Yugoslav dinars. As Pantić comes back to work, he has to realize that Melita was promoted to personal writing help his boss. A fortiori, he is furious when he learns that Nedeljkovic got the job, although Pantić has not responded to his attempt at bribery.

The next morning the daily routine begins again. In the clamor and the complaints about too little money goes Pantić not be this time only, but begins to throw around with money bills. On the way to the bathroom he runs Japanac on the road that put him on notice that he had married Suzana.
