A.S. Lucchese Libertas 1905

The AS Lucchese Libertas is an Italian football club based in Lucca, a city of the Tuscany region. The club colors are red and black. As the stadium club serves the Stadio Porta Elisa, Lucca, it can accommodate 7400 spectators.

History

The club was founded in 1905 as Lucca Football Club and took in the first years after the founding of the Prima Categoria Tuscany part. In the 1920s the club in the Seconda Divisione and Prima Divisione North was active in 1930, the team was the winner of the Prima Divisione Girone A first qualify for the B series. 1924 took the club with the Unione Sportiva Lucchese Libertas renamed the first name change. After a year in Serie B the team a league level fell after the missed relegation back and entered followed by three years in a row back in the Prima Divisione on. By winning the Girone C in the season 1933/34, the Tuscan team created the promotion for the second highest Italian league and got two years later after winning the Serie B championship for the first time in the club's history in the Serie A on. During this time, Lucchese took several name changes. In 1969, the club was named U.S. Lucchese Libertas Spa, ten years later, the management decided to rename the club again and then changed its name to U.S. Lucchese Libertas Srl, followed in 1983 with AS Lucchese Libertas Srl another name change of the Lucchese team.
