A.S.D. Legnano Calcio 1913

The AC Legnano ( officially: Associazione Calcio Legnano ) is an Italian football club based in Legnano, a town of the Lombardy region. The club's colors are purple and white. As the stadium club serves the Stadio Giovanni Mari in Legnano, it can accommodate 6,700 spectators.

History

The club was founded in 1913 and adopted in 1920 for the first time participated in the Italian national championship. The Lombard Club was able to qualify in second place of the Girone C for the championship finals. The team finished only fifth in their group and missed a part in the national final. The club was also represented the following eight years in Italy's top league. After the 1928/29 season Legnano rose from the newly founded Serie B and managed a year later direct resurgence. After the end of World War II the club was classified by the Italian association in the second highest league. In the season 1950/51 Legnano won the second place in Serie B the direct promotion to Serie A and thus returned after 20 years back in the top flight. After a season in Serie A, in Legnano knocked off came in last place, this chapter ended prematurely.
