A.T. Kearney is an international consulting firm. The company was founded in Chicago in 1926 and today operates 57 offices in 39 countries. As an independent partnership with a turnover of 786 million USD (2009) and approximately 3,000 employees, is one of AT Kearney of the largest strategic consultancies worldwide.
German-speaking
The German subsidiary is the A.T. Kearney GmbH. In Germany, the management consultants have offices in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart on site. In Austria, the company operates an office in Vienna. In Switzerland A.T. Kearney resident in Zurich.

History
In 1926, McKinsey & Company was founded. Andrew Thomas Kearney joined the company in 1929 and became managing partner in 1935. 1939, for the separation, with McKinsey & Co. went to New York and Boston, while Kearney & Co. remained in Chicago.
1946, the company changed its name in A.T. Kearney & Company to offer. Tom Kearney went in 1961 in Pension and died on January 11 of the following year.
The first international office was opened in Dusseldorf in 1964. In the following four years, offices were added in Milan, Paris, London and San Francisco and New York. The company was eventually A.T. 1972 Kearney. In the same year in Tokyo opened its first office in Asia.
In 1995 the company was bought by Texas IT service and outsourcing specialist Electronic Data Systems ( EDS). In January 2006 A.T. was Kearney in a management buy-out again an independent company and celebrated the 80th anniversary.
A planned merger with the consulting firm Booz & Company were canceled in July 2010 after exploratory talks.

Best Innovator
The Best Innovator is a European innovation competition, which is organized since 2004. With the competition is awarded to companies that operate successful and sustainable innovation management. In recent years, more than 1,200 companies have participated in the competition.
The competition is organized by A.T. Kearney carried out in collaboration with the magazine Business Week, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy.
The Factory of the Year
The Factory of the Year / GEO Award is a cross-industry benchmarking competition for manufacturing companies. The competition was in 1992 by A.T. Kearney initiated in cooperation with the business paper production and is performed once a year since then.
The competition is aimed at producing industrial companies from the EU and EU accession countries, employing at least 100 employees. The evaluation model of competition is based on the six performance dimensions of customer satisfaction, quality, efficiency, agility, innovation and value creation.
