A.V.V. De Volewijckers

De Volewijckers is a Dutch football club from the north of Amsterdam.

History

The club was founded on November 1, 1920. In the 1943/44 season the club was Dutch champion. Since the introduction of professional football in 1954 they played two years 1961-1963 in the Eredivisie. In the 1973/74 season, the professional department joined the FC Amsterdam, who was two years earlier by the merger of the professional departments of the Amsterdamsche FC DWS and Blauw Wit Amsterdam BV. The football operation was continued in the amateur field. Today the club plays in the Vijfde class Zondag.
