A1 (Band)

A1 were a British boy band, consisting of the members of Mark Read, Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigsten and Ben Adams.

Band History

With their first single Be the First to Believe achieved A1 1999, the British top ten. One year later, was their cover version of A- ha 's classic Take On Me at the top of the British charts. And the sequel to Same Old Brand New You reached No. 1

At the ceremony for the Brit Awards 2001 A1 were chosen among the best newcomers, before the band broke up a year later, after Paul Marazzi left the band for personal reasons on 8 October 2002.

In 2004, a best-of album was released, the concert recordings, all released singles and two previously unreleased songs included.

Ben Adams released the solo single Sorry that made ​​it to number 18 in the UK charts.

Ingebrigsten went back to Norway, Read worked as a songwriter for various artists.

2009 saw the band making a comeback in Norway. In 2010 she took part in the Norwegian preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest 2010. In the third semi-final they managed with the song Do not Wanna Lose You Again the finals, in which they were subject.
