Autoceļš A3 is an entity belonging to Latvian State Roads " State Street " ( lett valsts galvenie Autoceļi ). It runs from Inčukalns by Valka and then on to the border with Estonia, where it encounters the leading in a northeasterly direction Jõhvi Street 6. The A3 is a part of the European Route 264

The total length is 122 kilometers. The road goes through the scenic Gauja National Park. The route also runs around the city Valmiera, one of the largest cities of Latvia. Currently, the A3 is expanded to its entire length with a road and two lanes. Moreover, there are no plans to expand the A3 to motorway-like road. However, half of the road in 2012 will be modernized. The speed limit is 90 km / h The average traffic volume of 4682 vehicles per day in 2010.
