AAA battery

Micro, Micro cell, AAA and AAA cell are common names for a standardized, widely used size of batteries and accumulators.

General

It is in cylindrical round cells with a diameter of 9.5 to 10.5 mm and a height of 43.3 to 44.5 mm (according to IEC standard). This results in a volume of about 3.5 to 3.8 cm ³ yields. Despite identical structure should not be confused with the larger AA or AA cells. Micro cells are produced with different electrochemical systems, which can be clearly different from the rated voltage, capacity, resilience and structure. Depending on the system more often manufacturer-specific, non-rechargeable and rechargeable names for micro cells are used.

Micro cells are mainly used in small, often portable, electrical and electronic equipment. Examples include cell phones, pagers, digital cameras, PDAs, MP3 players, computer mice, toys, flashlights, laser pointers, calculators, watches and remote controls.
