AAM-5 (Japanese missile)

The technology developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries AAM -5 is a short-range air -to-air missile, which is currently in the testing phase ( XAAM -5). It was planned that the AAM -5 is put into service in 2008 and then gradually replace the AAM -3. The weapon is the IRIS-T are very similar.
