Aarau District
Aarau is a district of the canton of Aargau, which mainly comprises the agglomeration of Aarau south of the Swiss Jura. The district includes 12 communities residents. As of January 1, 2010
Geography
The District Aarau comprises roughly the agglomeration of the city of Aarau. It is to the east flows through the north of the west of the Aare River and from south to north of the Suhre and their side of the river, the Wyna. In the north of the district of a chain of Aargau Jura is limited. The area of the district is 104.47 km ².

The District Aarau bordered from the north clockwise beginning at the districts Laufenburg, Brugg, Lenzburg, Kulm, Zofingen, Olten (SO) and Gösgen (SO).
