Aaron Fotheringham

Aaron Fotheringham ( born November 8, 1991, Las Vegas ) is so far the only person who brings about a backflip, a double backflip and a frontflip in a wheelchair.

Fotheringham, who was born with spina bifida and after three hip operations was no longer able to walk, started at the age of eight years, to imitate his wheelchair the tricks of BMXbikern and skaters. In summer 2006, the then four- year-olds for the first time then the Backflip, a kind of backward somersault succeeded on wheels. On 26 August 2010, after many failed attempts, he succeeded the first double backflip in a wheelchair.

The equipment belongs Fotheringhams next helmet and knee and elbow protection, a special spring-loaded wheelchair. In the film Vorstadtkrokodile he is seen as a double for Fabian Halbig in a chase.
