Aaron Johnson (ice hockey)
Aaron Johnson ( born April 30, 1983 in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 with the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League contract, but for primarily for Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL used.
Career
Johnson began his career in 1999 in the Canadian Junior Football League Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Rimouski Océanic, with whom he won the Coupe du Président already in its first year. He then took part with his team at the Memorial Cup, you could also win by a final victory against the Barrie Colts. In the years following the links Sagittarius was able to increase his points yield continuously. With 59 points in 75 games scorer he was in the 2000 /01 season to the team internally point best defenders. Consequently, he attracted the attention of NHL scouts themselves. There he was at first mainly in the American Hockey League, used in the Syracuse Crunch, the farm team of the Blue Jackets. Nevertheless, he could recommend for an engagement in the NHL and he graduated during the 2003/ 04 season, 29 games for Columbus, where he was able to achieve eight points.
The NHL season 2004/ 05, which was not played due to the lockout, he spent in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch. After he came in another 29 NHL games during the season 2005 /06 for use, he could use his chance to play in the ordinary cadres of the Blue Jackets.
