Aaron Rosenberg

Aaron Rosenberg ( born August 26, 1912 in New York City; † September 1, 1979 in Torrance, California ) was an American film director and producer.

Life

Aaron Rosenberg studied at the University of Southern California, where he played football and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

He began his career as a co- producer in the late 1940s. In the 1950s, Rosenberg devoted in particular the production of Western, often with James Stewart and Audie Murphy in the lead roles. His productions include the works of The Glenn Miller Story, The Benny Goodman Story and Mutiny on the Bounty.

At the Academy Awards in 1963 Rosenberg was nominated for Mutiny on the Bounty for an Oscar.

From 1964 to 1970 Rosenberg also served as executive producer of the TV series Daniel Boone. The main role took over the American Fess Parker.
