Aaron Schroeder

Aaron Harold Schroeder ( born September 7, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York City; † 2, 2009 in Englewood, New Jersey ) was an American songwriter, composer and publisher.

Life

Schroeder was in 1948 a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and is listed with over 2,000 songs written. He had a first hit with Rosemary Clooney At a Sidewalk Penny Arcade. Several success playing Elvis Presley written by him, including only five number - one hits. He often worked with Abner Silver in the team.

From 1960 to 1965 he headed the label Musicor Records, where he moved among other things, Gene Pitney and Blood, Sweat & Tears.
