Aaron Castle is a town of 613 inhabitants ( census 2010) in Centre County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.
History
Aaron Castle was founded by Aaron Levy in 1786. It was planned as a larger town with neatly aligned roads and should be county seat. But lack of water prevented growth and so the appointment went to the county town of Bellefonte.
In 1949, a Jewish merchant with the same name as the founder of the town a historical pageant organized, which was attended by more than 40,000 people. At this event, a movie was filmed and written a book.
Infrastructure
Aaron Castle has two churches (Salem Lutheran and Reformed ), three cemeteries, a library, a historical museum and a pottery.
