AB Pictoris

AB Pictoris (short AB Pic) is a variable star in the constellation of painters. It is about 150 light- years away and a member of the Tucana - Horologium association.

2003, a companion was discovered, its mass is approximately 13 times the mass of Jupiter in the boundary region between planet and brown dwarf; it is about 260 AU from AB Pictoris.
