History

The beginnings

Founded Abandon All Ships by Angelo Aita ( Screamings ), David Stephens (lead guitar, backing vocals), Francesco Pallotta (bass ), Martin Broda (vocals, drums) and Sebastian Cassisi - Nunez ( synthesizers, keyboards) in 2006 in Toronto, Ontario. Originally coverte the tape pieces of the rock band Norma Jean.

2008, four demo pieces that Megawacko, When Dreams Become Nightmares, Brendon 's Song and Pedestrians Is Another Word for Speedbump arisen hot. These contained elements of mathcore, with When Dreams Become Nightmares is particularly worthy of mention. After the group was able to gain more and more prominence in the music scene in Toronto, the band with national bands like Silverstein was allowed to play.

The group was able to make a name quickly on the Internet through MySpace. Also an appearance in the series on the Canadian television station Disband MuchMusic helped the band to further improve its recognition at the national level.

Debut album

Beginning of 2010, the group signed recording contracts with Underground Operations, Rise Records, and Velocity Records. On 29 June 2010 the single Take One Last Breath was published. It is a re- recording of Pedestrians Is Another Word for Speedbump. A music video was released on the same day. Shortly before the band toured with A Skylit Drive, I Set My Friends on Fire on 19 concerts through the USA. In March 2010, the group toured for the first time at the national level.

Abandon All Ships playing 2010 at the Ottawa Bluesfest, where the group first played new songs, including Guardian Angel, in the Lena Katina of TaTu is heard. Megawacko 2.0 is the second single that was released on August 24, 2010. On 5 October 2010, the group released their debut album Geeving. Her first notable international tour took place between 29 October 2010 to 5 December 2010., Where the band Sleeping with Sirens, Bury Tomorrow and The Crimson Armada played as the opening act for Miss May I Monument on their tour.

Cast difficulties and second album

In January 2011, guitarist Kyler Browne announced that he would leave the group due to personal problems. Daniel Ciccotelli was integrated short hand as a guitarist in the band. It was followed by appearances on the Warped Tour, but only in the eastern United States of America.

On 14 July, the Paiano brothers Andrew and Daniel announced their exit from the band. Initially, the reasons for its decision were unclear. Later it turned out that the two were thrown out of the band because personal differences between them and the other musicians prevailed. Shortly thereafter, Andrew and Daniel Paiano joined as a musician in Woe, Is Me, which were also up to their separation in September 2013, at Velocity Records.

In January 2012, the Group announced that one is at the studio to record a new album. This is titled Infamous and appeared on 3 July 2012., Which rose for the first time in the official U.S. charts, where it could reach space 142 and hold for a week. The band played on the entire Scream It Like You Mean It tour, then played as support for We Came as Romans a concert tour of Canada. Then the group was headlining its own tour of Canada. In December 2012, drummer Chris Taylor gave his retreat known because he was unhappy with his role within the band.

In March and April 2013, the group toured with Dream On, Dreamer, For the Fallen Dreams and No Bragging Rights. The concert tour led by Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. It is the second European tour after 2011 when the band as part of The Artery Across the Nation Europe Tour with Miss May I, Chelsea Grin and Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! toured the continent. In May 2013 it was announced that the musicians were working on their third album. Geeving and Infamous were reissued in Europe on Redfield Records after the label had officially presented the band. It has also been speculated that the former guitarist Kyler Browne was active in Abandon All Ships again.

Style

Music

The band's music can be described primarily as a metalcore and post-hardcore with traditional shouted and auto- getunetem Clean vocals, which is mixed with elements of Euro Dance,. The group is regarded as a representative of the Crabcore movement. There are also influences from Punk, Trance, Hard Trance, Electro, Electropop, Synthpop, Dance - pop and dubstep to find. Occasionally, one can also elements of mathcore ( in harder pieces ), R & B and rap ( in quiet pieces ).

Texts

Few texts contain words from the Guido, the slang language of Italian-Americans. Although many texts have a vulgar language, the group often is said to have a penchant for Christianity, which the musicians in the negative.
