Abaújszántó
Abaújszántó is a city in Hungary Borsod -Abaúj -Zemplén.
Geographical Location
Abaújszántó lies in northern Hungary, 40 kilometers from county capital Miskolc.
Viniculture
Abaújszántó is one of the 28 wine-growing villages of the wine region Tokaj wine region, Tokaj- officially Hegyaljai borvidék ( Tokaj wine region). There, one of the greatest sweet wines in the world is made of Tokaj. The wine region, thus Abaújszántó, since the year 2002 a cultural landscape of the UNESCO world heritage.

Among the deported in 1944 from Abaújszántó Jews was the family of the then four -year-old Zahavicsku Szász. 1948 a monument was erected, which was defiled in 1951.
