Abaújvár

Abaújvár is a town in Borsod -Abaúj -Zemplén in northern Hungary.

Geographical Location

Abaújvár is located 72 km north-east of the county seat Miskolc at the eastern left bank of the Hernád, which forms the border with Slovakia here. The municipality belongs to the small area Abaúj- Hegyköz whose administrative headquarters Gönc located 12 km south-west. Direct neighboring municipalities are Kéked in the northeast, Pányok the east and Zsujta in the southwest.
