The abasinische language (self- designation абаза бызшва [ abaza bəzš ˚ a] ) is spoken by the people of Abasinen. In Russia there are about 38,000 speakers, mostly in the republic of Karachay -Cherkessia, where the Abasinische is also one of the five official languages.
