In 1973, ABBA have a total of eight studio albums, a live album ( released in 1986 ) and various compilations produced.

Even the eight studio albums varied in the different countries in part in selection and date of publication. For example, one of the most successful ABBA hits Fernando was first published only on the studio album " Arrival" in the country version for Australia and New Zealand.

Additionally, - some with license approval from other record companies (eg Polydor ) - various albums produced for regional markets, some of which were included in the appropriate language (for example, " Gracias Por La Música ", 1980, Polar Music ) and others as country-specific compilations have been published ( for example, " A like ABBA ", 1981, Polydor ).

Because even after the separation of ABBA still a number of other albums was released, and a large part of the ABBA albums in addition to more recent recordings such as audio - CD, Mini Disc (MD ) or DVD has been released in edited sound quality, there is now a large number of best-of albums, compilations as well as promotion and import albums.

The following enumerations are therefore limited to the official studio albums and the most important for the German speaking other publications.
