Geography

The Abbabach rises in Hemer City area west of the fir head at an altitude of 295 m above sea level. NN. From here, the creek flows tortuous mainly in north- western direction. He runs through the village lodges and several smaller hamlets. Between Fröndenberg - Dellwig in the Northeast and Iserlohn- Drüpplingsen the south of the creek flows to 114 m above sea level. NN on the left into the Ruhr.

On its 17.1 km long path through Hemer and Iserlohn the Abbabach overcomes a difference in altitude of 181 m, corresponding to an average bed slope of 10.6 ‰. He drained a 22.004 km ² large catchment area over the Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea.

The largest tributary of the Abbabachs is the 3.4 km long Dahl Hauser Bach.
