Abbas Hassan

Abbas Hassan (born 10 May 1985) is a Lebanese- Swedish football player. The goalkeeper was in the 2006 squad IF Elfsborg, who won the Swedish championship title.

Career

Hassan began playing football at Arvidstorps IK. In 2002, he joined the youth wing of IF Elfsborg, where he went through the various youth teams in the sequence and was appointed in 2003 by team coach Peter Gerhardsson in the Swedish U-18 national team.

In the 2005 Hassan moved as the third goalkeeper on the Erstligakader IF Elfsborg. On June 20th of the year he came to his debut in Allsvenskan, when he came on for the injured Johan Wiland in the game against Malmö FF. As a result, he moved behind the actual second goalkeeper Håkan Svensson on the first replacement. At the time of the end of August sent off, he established himself in the episode in the gate of clubs from Borås and came across the course of the season to ten league operations. He played himself into the notebook by Tommy Söderberg and Jörgen Lennartsson, the supervisors of the Swedish U- 21 team. At the beginning of 2006, he came in two games of the junior national team to use.

Hassan joined in July on loan for one year from the Swedish coach Magnus Pehrsson assisted Danish club Aalborg BK, to replace the to AC Horsens exchanged Kenneth Stenild as a substitute Karim Zaza. With his new club, he met with Louay Chanko and Andreas Johansson on two other compatriots. Behind Zaza he remained in the complete course of the season without the use of time.

In summer 2010, Hassan IF Elfsborg left again and joined on loan until the end of the season IFK Norrköping in the Superettan on to act behind Niklas Westberg as a substitute goalkeeper. In two league operations he was involved in the Allsvenskan in the resurgence of the club. Shortly before the end of 2010 obliged him firmly the club with which he signed a three -year contract. In preparation, he repressed his competitors and stood in the first five games of the season between the posts, before he injured the meantime Westberg had to let go first. Again, he could not say permanent, junior goalkeeper David Nilsson supplanted him and denied 19 of the 30 season games his position. In the meantime, only third-choice goalkeeper, he flirted with a move, in February 2013 he returned to IF Elfsborg. He was reserve goalkeeper behind Kevin Stuhr Ellegaard and denied in the season 2013 season two inserts. In January 2014 he extended his contract by two years.
