Abbas III.

Abbas III. (Persian شاه عباس سوم; * 1731, † 1740 in Sabzevar ) was from 1732 to 1736, a ruler of the dynasty of the Safavids. But in fact the dynasty had no power since 1722 and reigned as kings shadow. After his father Tahmasp II was deposed in 1732 by his general, Nadir Khan, Abbas was appointed at the age of just eight months on September 7, 1732 as the new king.
