Abbotsbury Railway

The Abbotsbury Railway was a British railway company in Dorset.

The Company received on August 6, 1877 the right to build a railway from Upwey after Abbotsbury. The branching off from the railway line Dorchester - Weymouth 10.4 km long route was opened on November 9, 1885. The company never came in the black. On August 7, 1896, the Great Western Railway took over the company pursuant to a law.
