Abbott Papyrus

The Papyrus Abbott is a papyrus from ancient Egypt. As the Papyrus Harris A, it contains negotiations on grave robbing. It dates to the 16th year of the reign of Ramses IX. , 20th Dynasty ( New Kingdom ).

The grave robbers papyrus was named after a Dr. Abbott, who bought it in 1857 in Cairo. Its origin is unknown. The 2.18 m long and 42.5 cm wide papyrus is now under the inventory number EA 10221 in the British Museum in London.
