Abby in Wonderland

Abby in Wonderland is a Direct-to- DVD animated puppet short film with the Muppets from Sesame Street. Based on Lewis Carroll's children's book Alice in Wonderland, the characters of the Muppets were taken from Sesame Street.

The feature - length film of the DVD was released on September 30, 2008 by Genius Products. In addition to the DVD release, the film received a limited theatrical sequence, which was published by the Kidertoons -Family Matinee series in September 2008 and aired on PBS Kids in the week of Thanksgiving 2008. On 29 December 2008, the film on local PBS stations aired again.

In a scene in which Abby the red hare (played by red monster Elmo ) lags appear Ernie and Bert, as Tweedle -dee and Tweedle - dum. As Bert wonders whether this is a scene, after which Ernie replied that the two did not appear in the story, it's just a common misconception. This is an allusion to the fact that Tweedle -dee and Tweedle - dum are often interpreted into the story of "Alice in Wonderland", as in movies. In reality, the figures in the second Alice book come "In the land behind the mirrors " before.
