Abdallah Bin Bayyah

Abdullah bin Mahfouz 'm Bayyah (* 1935 in Mauritania) is a specialist on the four traditional Sunni schools of law scholar of Islam with emphasis on the Maliki madhhab of. He teaches at the King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. He was formerly Vice - President, Minister of Justice, Minister of Education and Minister of Islamic Affairs in Mauritania. He is vice president of the International Union of Muslim Scholars ( International Union of Muslim Scholars ) and founder and president of the Global Center for Renewal and Guidance.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter A Common Word between Us and You (English A Common Word Between Us and You), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English " Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... " ) submitted (13 October 2007).
